REPORTING SUSPICIOUS / CRIMINAL ACTIVITY

The Hoboken Police Department seeks YOUR HELP in combating criminal activity in our city.  Residents are encouraged to report suspicious activity to our central police communications center by dialing:

(201) 420-2100

For EMERGENCIES ONLY, you should dial 9-1-1.

State the location where the emergency or activity is taking place & follow the instructions of the call taker.  DO NOT HANG UP.  The Call Taker will ask you additional questions, once the call taker has sufficient information, appropriate emergency services personnel will be dispatched to the location of the reported activity / emergency.

PLEASE NOTE: Falsely reporting an emergency to authorities is a criminal offense, subject to punishment under the law.  Regardless if a 9-1-1 call is abandoned by the caller, police will still respond to the location of the call to ascertain if an emergency exists.
